Today, rocket launch options are slow, expensive, and unreliable. Stoke is building the world’s most efficient fully and rapidly reusable rocket designed to fly daily that will radically increase access to space and open up the space economy to safeguard our precious home, Earth.

Description

Reusable systems are the key to seamlessly connecting Earth and space. The Senior Director, Talent & Human Resources will report directly to the COO and will serve as the senior leader for the Human Resource and Talent Acquisition team. In this role, the individual will provide oversight for a broad set of talent development, management, and acquisition functions. In addition, this role be responsible for policy and process development to ensure alignment with industry best practices, state and federal regulation, and Stoke culture. This will include long term strategic planning for the Stoke talent workforce and pipeline. The role will also work with the financial organization to develop comprehensive and attractive total compensation and benefits packages. This individual will be expected to work as an individual contributor on tactical problems and quickly pivot to big picture strategic thinking and planning.

Responsibilities

  • Oversite of Talent Acquisition and Human Resources functions
  • Development of Talent Acquisition and Human Resources process and policy
  • Benefit & Compensation planning and execution
  • Manage full lifecycle of the employee experience
  • Provide strategy and input around employer branding
  • Own performance review process
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to direct reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, organizational development, human resources, or closely related field
  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in a role demonstrating expertise and thought leadership in implementing talent management solutions to include talent acquisition management and development, leadership development, human resource policies and practices, and cultural scaling.
  • Experience operating within a fast moving, hardware focused, agile environment.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning with the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and navigate ambiguous situations
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and participating as an individual contributor to drive successful business outcomes
  • Experience collaborating with executives to ensure employee-satisfaction regarding project and/or process goals, objectives, strategic plans
  • Must be willing to travel 25% of the time
  • Outstanding organization and project management skills with the ability to manage the delivery of high-quality, on-time programs in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, communication and relationship-building skills with an ability to collaborate with managers with diverse needs in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Willing to work on-site at our Kent, WA headquarters

Compensation

  • $150,000 - $220,000
