At Workiva, we're on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Engineering Manager to lead one of our teams in GRC (Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance). This role is pivotal in guiding a talented full-stack engineering team responsible for developing exciting product features that encompass everything from front-end Dart/React to back-end Kotlin.

As a Senior Engineering Manager at Workiva, you'll be less focused on the nitty-gritty of coding and more on the exciting realms of people and project leadership. While you won't be rolling up your sleeves to code day in and day out, your deep technical background will be instrumental in providing the guiding influence needed to ensure the success of our projects.

We're all about embracing diversity and promoting a culture of equality. We believe in a level playing field where everyone, regardless of their background, can thrive and succeed. So, if you're a tech-savvy trailblazer with a knack for leadership, we invite you to consider joining us in this Senior Engineering Manager role. Your expertise will play a vital role in our quest to create innovative solutions for our customers, and we promise to make the journey just as exciting as the destination.

What You’ll Do

  • Team Leadership: Be the inspirational captain of our GRC engineering team, fostering an inclusive and high-performing environment where every team member can flourish

  • Project Wizardry: Leverage your wealth of experience to identify and celebrate the path to project success; you'll be the one who knows what to look for and how to steer our projects toward victory

  • Process Alchemy: Work your magic to conjure up continuous improvements in our development processes and practices, ensuring that we're always ahead of the curve

  • Team Wellness: Keep a watchful eye on our team's health, nurturing employee engagement, and using your conflict resolution skills as needed

  • Champion of Best Practices: Be our guardian of engineering standards, principles, and best practices, both within the team and across the organization

What You'll Need

  • Technical Savvy: Demonstrated proficiency in programming, with a strong foundation in computer science, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented software design
