We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our mission-driven team in the sustainability space. In this role, you will build and maintain cutting-edge solutions that drive environmental impact. As a full-stack engineer, you’ll work across our technology stack, with a preference for experience in TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, and Kubernetes. You’ll contribute to scalable and resilient systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative software solutions. What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements
Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other stakeholders to understand and refine project requirements and ensure alignment with product vision and strategy
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that follows industry best practices and coding standards
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality and consistency
Deliver and document team or group level technical solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and automated tests (unit, integration, functional, etc.) with Workiva solutions in mind to ensure software quality and reliability
Debug and troubleshoot complex issues across multiple service and application contexts using tools and techniques appropriate for the problem
Collaborate with support teams in triaging and resolving production issues to ensure customer satisfaction
Participate in product discovery activities with customers and stakeholders to gain insights, validate hypotheses, and identify opportunities for innovation
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to identify problems, suggest solutions, and drive continuous improvement
Mentor and coach other engineers both technically and culturally, providing guidance and support to help them grow and achieve their full potential
Communicate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences, using clear and concise language
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of software development experience
Solid foundation in computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and cloud-based distributed systems
Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Dart, TypeScript, Java, and/or Kotlin
Experience with Spring Boot for backend development
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
Ability to debug complex systems or applications
Experience providing technical guidance and supporting the growth of team members is a plus
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and a focus on continuous improvement and delivery is preferred
Experience with service-oriented architecture is a plus
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to different audiences
Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to stay current on new technologies and best practices

How You’ll Be Rewarded
✅ Salary range in the US: $111,000.00 - $178,000.00✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
