As we expand our presence in Japan, we're seeking a passionate, driven, and adaptable Senior Solution Consultant to join our APAC team and help shape the future of financial and sustainability reporting in the Japanese market. You'll partner with our sales team and consulting partners, working primarily with professionals in accounting, sustainability, risk, and investor relations teams across Japan. You will demonstrate how Workiva's innovative solutions can drive efficiency, mitigate risk, and deliver exceptional value.
What You’ll Do
Partner of Sales to Drive Revenue: Collaborate closely with our sales team and partners in Japan to deliver compelling, value-based solution demonstrations and presentations to enterprise customers, both new business and to expand existing accounts
Become a Trusted Advisor: Lead discovery sessions with business and technical stakeholders to deeply understand customer pain points and objectives, and translate customer challenges into tailored Workiva solutions that address financial, regulatory, and ESG reporting needs in value-based conversations
Strategic Technical Lead: Strategize with the sales team on how to navigate winning sales cycles, deliver tailored demonstrations, run workshops, and contribute to RFx responses while supporting Proof of Concepts (POCs)
Effective Communicator: Communicate the value of Workiva's platform effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Bridge for Customer & Market Needs to Internal Stakeholders: Support the development of strategic go-to-market initiatives for Japan, collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success
Be a Subject Matter Expert: in pre-sales engagements and post-sale transitions, and maintain a deep understanding of Workiva's platform, industry best practices, and regulatory trends
On-the-Ground Asset: Contribute to building localized enablement assets, demo environments, and market-specific best practices
Thought Leader: Represent Workiva at industry events, partner workshops, and customer roundtables to advocate for our value and vision
Engage and Influence: Drive customer success by proactively identifying and addressing challenges with innovative solutions. Engage and influence audiences of all sizes with your exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills
Manage Competing Priorities: Demonstrate your ability to manage competing priorities and balance your workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications
Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in both Japanese and English (spoken and written) – essential for engaging with local clients and global teams.
Minimum of 6 years' experience in pre-sales, consulting, or solution delivery, preferably within SaaS, enterprise software, or Big 4 consulting environments.
Strong understanding of enterprise processes, stakeholder management, and solution value selling
Proven ability to simplify complex concepts into relatable customer stories and solution demonstrations
Self-starter with a strong can-do attitude, high curiosity, and a desire to make an impact in a growing market
Flexible and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Motivated by the opportunity to grow a business, influence strategy, and make a difference in the Japan market
Passionate about driving business transformation and delivering measurable value to customers
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar financial qualification
Familiarity with Sustainability/ESG reporting frameworks such as ISSB, CSRD, TCFD, or GRI
Experience working with regulatory or compliance technology solutions
