The Lead Product Marketing Manager for Governance Risk, and Compliance (GRC) is responsible for driving the go-to-market (GTM) strategy, competitive positioning, and launch execution for Workiva’s GRC solutions, with a primary focus on Risk Management. This role develops differentiated product positioning, leads end-to-end launch planning, partners closely with Product, Sales, Enablement, and Industry Principles to ensure GRC innovations are showcased consistently and effectively across all internal and external channels.
The ideal candidate brings deep GRC domain expertise, strong competitive understanding, and experience operating in highly cross-functional, fast-moving environments. This role contributes to the direction of the GRC portfolio and serves as a strategic connector across Workiva’s go-to-market, product, and sales organizations.
What You’ll Do
Launch Leadership & GTM Strategy
Lead end-to-end GTM planning and execution for major GRC launches, coordinating across Product, Sales, Enablement, Customer Success, and Marketing
Develop and deliver compelling positioning, messaging, and value propositions that differentiate Workiva within the GRC market
Build and maintain GTM frameworks, launch and readiness plans, and KPIs to ensure consistent, predictable outcomes
Partner with Demand Generation to translate launch themes into integrated campaigns that drive awareness, adoption, and expansion
Market & Competitive Strategy
Partner with Competitive Intelligence to refine GRC market positioning and develop compelling battlecards and enablement content
Analyze customer needs, market trends, and competitor moves to inform product roadmaps and GTM priorities
Bring the customer and market perspective into product discussions to surface opportunities and mitigate risk
Cross-Functional Alignment & Communication
Lead communication of launch progress, insights, and priorities across Sales, Product, and Marketing
Strengthen collaboration between Product Management and Product Marketing through structured planning and shared deliverables
Represent Marketing in GRC roadmap workstreams, partner webinars, and quarterly marketing moments
Sales & Field Enablement
Partner with Sales Enablement to drive the development and delivery of GRC enablement materials, including battlecards, product guides, and training sessions across Sales and Customer Success
Lead Highspot governance for the GRC portfolio to ensure content is accurate, discoverable, and aligned to GTM priorities
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant experience in product marketing, customer success, product management, or related roles within GRC, audit, risk, or compliance technology domains.
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA, MSIS, or related discipline preferred
Competitive GRC experience required or strongly preferred
Experience in business-to-business (B2B) tech marketing, with a preference for Software as a Service (SaaS) expertise
Led complex, cross-functional product launches and go-to-market strategies that drive adoption and growth
Skilled in translating customer insights and market intelligence into clear, differentiated positioning, segmentation, and messaging frameworks
Effective communication skills across all organizational levels, spanning from buyers and end-users to executive management
Ability to navigate ambiguity with a natural curiosity to uncover opportunities in markets by leveraging new technology trends
Demonstrated success in collaborating and influencing cross-functional leadership teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, Sales Operations, Enablement, and Customer Success
Strategic mindset with the ability to derive insights from data for decision-making
Proven ability to innovate and optimize business-driving strategies
Exceptional communication and program management skills
Travel Requirements & Working Conditions
25% travel for customer and internal meetings
Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office
How You’ll Be Rewarded
✅ Salary range in the US: $133,000.00 - $214,000.00✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package
