As a Senior Sales Development Representative, you are a hunter at heart, acting as Workiva’s initial point of contact with prospective customers. You will quickly establish rapport with decision makers and spark the curiosity that generates interest in our Workiva Platform. Our rapidly growing SaaS company relies on your high-performance drive and collaborative spirit to ensure ongoing success. Working closely with Account Executives and Sales Managers, you drive critical pipeline growth for both existing customers and new prospects.

What You'll Do

  • Partner closely with Account Executives to develop engagement strategies for assigned accounts to drive revenue goals

  • Mentor and support junior team members to improve prospecting techniques and overall team performance

  • Provide research and intelligence within target accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information

  • Prospect into target accounts via cold-calling, networking, email, and social outreach

  • Qualify leads based upon defined criteria to transition meaningful sales leads into the pipeline

  • Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the Workiva Platform to articulate its advantages to decision makers

  • Manage critical sales cycle functions including forecasting, reporting, and CRM maintenance

  • Drive attendance to webinars and conferences while providing consistent post-event follow up

  • Maintain a current understanding of Workiva’s latest product offerings and competitive market knowledge

  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly performance goals and metrics

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related experience in sales, business development, or lead generation

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of knowledge and related career experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a professional demeanor

  • Self-motivated with a strong propensity for action and continuous improvement

  • Ability to work successfully in a high-growth organization while balancing competing priorities

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple processes and programs simultaneously

  • Capability to learn and integrate new skills within an online training environment

  • Experience with CRM tools, specifically Salesforce

  • Proven success in consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals

Travel Requirement & Working Conditions

  • Ability to travel up to 10% for customer meetings and internal events

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely
