SWARM Engineering is building the world’s first vertical specific Agentic AI platform for industrial decision-making - serving sectors like agriculture, food services and energy. We help organizations move from reactive firefighting to proactive optimization - across forecasting, planning, scheduling, and operations.

We are hiring a Sales Engineer who can bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI and the real-world problems our customers need solved. You’ll work alongside the CEO and Sales team to drive technical credibility, shape compelling demos, and help land deals with some of the most complex industrial companies in the world.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales Execution

  • Partner with Sales to understand prospect pain points and position SWARM’s platform as the answer.
  • Build and deliver high-impact demos, proof-of-value projects, and product walkthroughs.
  • Translate technical features into business value—and handle tough questions from skeptical buyers.

Customer Discovery & Solutioning

  • Conduct deep discovery with prospects to uncover operational inefficiencies and
  • opportunities for optimization.
  • Map our agentic AI capabilities to real decision workflows – forecasting, scheduling,
  • resource allocation, etc.
  • Collaborate with product to design tailored solutions that align with buyer needs and
  • platform capabilities.

Technical Championing

  • Own technical conversations and demos with CIOs, Heads of Data/ML, Ops, and Innovation teams.
  • Help customers envision how SWARM will fit into their stack – and why it’s a must have.
  • Support RFPs, security reviews, integration discussions, and implementation scoping.

Internal Collaboration & Product Feedback

  • Be the voice of the field: share customer insights to shape the product roadmap and GTM strategy.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Product on solution design, demo environment readiness, and use-case validation.

Qualifications

Must Have Experience

  • Must have - experience in positioning, selling or running sales engineering efforts for AI products.
  • Must have - experience with or exposure to a consultative selling process.

Other Experience

  • 2+ years in sales engineering, solutions consulting, or technical pre-sales for B2B enterprise
  • software.
  • Background in AI/ML, optimization software, industrial analytics, or decision intelligence.
  • Experience working with technical and business buyers across agriculture, energy, or supply chain sectors.

Technical Fluency

  • Familiarity with APIs, data integration, and enterprise architecture.
  • Able to navigate conversations around models, ontologies, and intelligent agents—and make it accessibility to non-technical stakeholders.

Mindset & Soft Skills

  • You don’t wait for a script – you write it.
  • Confident communicator, natural explainer, and calm under pressure.
  • Loves collaborating with Sales—but also knows when to challenge the narrative.

Language

  • Fluent or native in English
  • Nice to have - fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese

Compensation

The compensation range for this position will depend on where you reside. For this role, the on-target earnings (base pay + commissions): $90,000—$130,000 USD
