About the Role

We are hiring a Field Technician in the San Francisco area to join our team! Responsibilities

The Field Technician will:

• Develop and refine processes and gain technical skills related to inspections for battery storage, EV chargers, and other residential electrification installations
• Support Treehouse customers and electricians in the City of San Francisco and northern peninsula with hands-on installation of residential electrification equipment, including energy storage systems, EV chargers and panel upgrades
• Follow standard operating procedures and guidelines and ensure all work meets safety standards and is up to national and local codes
• Collect, maintain, and demonstrate understanding of electrical installation inspection documentation
• Organize and maintain vehicle inventory to ensure alignment with and efficiency in meeting all installation requirements and purchase, deliver, and organize installation inventory

Minimum Qualifications

Successful Field Technician candidates will demonstrate:

• Experience in the home electrification industry
• Working knowledge of national and regional electrical codes, and basic construction principles
• Have their own reliable vehicle

Preferred Qualifications

Additionally, successful Field Technician candidates may demonstrate:

• Hands-on experience in the residential electrical trade
• Industry experience with high understanding of hosted inspection requirements
• An understanding of interconnection activities
• An independent self-starter capable of completing projects without significant oversight or training and who can solve problems proactively
• An ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
• An interest in continuous growth and improvement

The pay rate for this position is expected to be $25.00 per hour. This is a good faith estimate of what Treehouse may pay for a new hire; actual pay may vary based on prevailing wages in geographic location and a candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required job qualifications.
