Process Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Promote a Zero-Injury Culture: Conduct risk assessments, implement safety protocols, and ensure adherence to safety standards to create a secure workplace.
- Optimize Manufacturing Processes: Develop, test, and implement advanced manufacturing methods to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Analyze and Troubleshoot: Identify root causes of production issues, implement corrective actions, and drive resolution through data-driven problem-solving techniques.
- Process Improvement: Perform ergonomic evaluations, time studies, and line balancing to enhance productivity and plant safety.
- Capacity and Cost Analysis: Conduct capacity utilization and cost analyses to inform decision-making on new processes and projects.
- Quality Control Support: Assist in materials inspection (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) and ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and manage process documentation, including SOPs, technical reports, project plans, and process changes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
- Equipment Design and Implementation: Participate in designing, selecting, and commissioning new production equipment, including installation and startup activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Utilize methodologies such as 5 Whys, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma to streamline operations, eliminate waste, and enhance quality.
- Leadership and Training: Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical support and training to production teams to improve processes and drive operational excellence.
- Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices to ensure processes remain innovative and compliant with regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or a related internship.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, Statistica) preferred.
- Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Problem-Solving: Hands-on troubleshooting and process optimization experience with a focus on continuous improvement.
- ISO Standards: Basic understanding of ISO-9000 quality management principles.
- Technical Tools: Familiarity with databases (e.g., FoxPro, Oracle, SQL Server) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a well-organized workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety Commitment: Strong focus on workplace safety, ensuring all activities align with safety standards and protocols.

Work Environment
The Process Engineer will work in a dynamic manufacturing environment, combining time on the shop floor with technical and administrative responsibilities. The role includes:
