Maintenance Manager

As our Maintenance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of skilled maintenance technicians to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
• Assign daily tasks, provide hands-on guidance, and foster a collaborative, results-driven work environment.

Preventive Maintenance & Scheduling:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance schedules to align with production needs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Budgeting & Cost Control:

• Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, balancing costs for labor, repairs, and inventory while staying within financial guidelines.
• Track and report on expenditures to ensure cost efficiency.

Troubleshooting & Repairs:

• Oversee troubleshooting and repair of complex equipment issues, ensuring quick resolutions to support production goals.
• Lead emergency repair efforts as needed to minimize downtime.

Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct safety training for the team and maintain accurate safety records.

Vendor & Inventory Management:

• Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and equipment servicing.
• Oversee spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical components without overstocking.

Data Management & Reporting:

• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document and track maintenance activities.
• Provide regular updates on KPIs, equipment performance, and maintenance trends to senior management.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Implement best practices such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency with CMMS software (e.g., Limble, Maximo, Fiix), capital project management, and troubleshooting electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance Manager, HVAC, PMP) are a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex maintenance challenges.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Epicor).
• Industry Practices: Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principles, and process optimization techniques.

Work Environment

• Frequent work on the manufacturing floor alongside time spent analyzing data using computers and electronic tools.
• Adherence to occupational safety practices, including wearing appropriate PPE.
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments and lift/push/pull up to 15 lbs as needed.
• Flexibility to respond to on-call emergencies or irregular hours when required.
