Human Resources Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic and operational Human Resources Manager to be responsible for building, scaling, and sustaining a high-performing workforce within a divisional manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical leadership function in enabling rapid growth through advanced recruitment capability, robust talent development, and the creation of a culture that consistently delivers on safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.

The HR Manager partners closely with plant leadership, operations, engineering, and corporate HR to ensure people strategies directly support operational goals and long-term business sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead high-volume and specialized recruitment to support growth and operational scale-up.
  • Develop proactive workforce planning strategies aligned to production demand, skill gaps, and future capability needs.
  • Build strong talent pipelines for critical roles including skilled trades, technicians, engineers, supervisors, and leaders.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, assess talent effectively, and reduce time-to-fill while maintaining quality of hire.

Talent Development & Performance Enablement

  • Drive performance management processes that emphasize accountability, measurable outcomes, continuous improvement for sustained quality delivery through policy deployment, KPIs, and performance management.
  • Coach leaders on delivering effective feedback and managing performance gaps.
  • Ensure execution of skill matrix development for frontline employees to support engagement, retention, and internal mobility.

Culture, Engagement & Change Leadership

  • Champion a culture of high performance, accountability, and team-based mindset rewarded with pay for performance.
  • Lead divisional change initiatives tied to growth, operational excellence, and workforce transformation.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including multi-state labor requirements, and company standards.
  • Oversee core HR processes such as onboarding, employee relations, investigations, corrective action, and terminations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Manage audits, inspections, and HR-related legal matters.
  • Support compensation planning, job architecture, and alignment of pay to performance and market competitiveness.

Leadership Partnership & Business Impact

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the divisional Plant Manager and leadership team, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Adopt and drive policy deployment and performance management system.
  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Compensation, Benefits & Payroll

  • Partner with Corporate HR to develop and manage salary structures, grading systems, and incentive plans
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and job evaluations
  • Oversee benefits administration (medical, insurance, leave, etc.)
  • Coordinate payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Support annual salary reviews, promotions, and bonus processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • HR Certification, SHRM or HRCI preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading high-growth recruitment efforts in competitive labor markets.
  • Strong experience in talent development and performance management
  • Deep knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, particularly working within a multi-state employer.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
