Position Overview:

Vantem Global is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This position is ideal for someone with strong consolidation accounting experience and a keen understanding of financial reporting in a global setting. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Global Controller and will play an integral role in ensuring accurate financial records, reporting, and consolidating the company's financial data across various entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intercompany Transactions: Prepare and maintain allocation schedules, resulting in intercompany account transactions. Coordinate with subsidiary finance teams to ensure proper documentation and accurate reporting of intercompany activity.
  • Consolidated Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements for the company’s global operations. Ensure accuracy in reporting, including intercompany transactions and eliminations.
  • Month-End and Year-End Closing: Support the monthly and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate financial forecasting.
  • Compliance and Internal Controls: Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. Ensure effective internal controls are in place and functioning.
  • Audit Support: Assist in external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries.
  • Tax Support: Assist in corporate tax preparation by providing necessary documentation and responding external tax team.
  • Special Projects: Lead or support special accounting projects, including system upgrades, acquisitions, or other strategic initiatives impacting the consolidation process.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improving efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives, offering accounting expertise to guide decisions and ensure financial alignment.
  • Reporting to Global Controller: Provide periodic financial reports, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on consolidation and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards, international accounting standards familiarity is a plus.
  • Proven experience working in a corporate environment with exposure to multi-entity consolidation.
  • Experience with 3rd party payment processing, payroll, and/or other accounting related providers is desired.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with consolidation software is preferred). Netsuite and Ramp experience highly desired.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
