Role Overview
We are looking for a part-time contractor who can act as a trusted, on-the-ground extension of our team for Japanese enterprise customers. This person will support active accounts, drive follow-ups, facilitate strategic discussions, and help progress long-cycle opportunities by bridging business, technical, and executive stakeholders. This role requires someone who is equally comfortable discussing strategy with senior executives and working through details with site engineers and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Client & Account Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Japanese enterprise clients
- Respond promptly to client questions and requests, escalating to internal teams when needed
- Maintain strong, consistent follow-up to ensure no opportunities stall or drop
- Support clients throughout long project and sales cycles
- Business Development & Expansion
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts
- Lead or support business discussions related to growth, new sites, or broader deployments
- Coordinate internal stakeholders (sales, product, engineering, leadership) to move deals forward
- Support and drive strategic partnership discussions when applicable
- Stakeholder Management
- Engage effectively with:
- Enterprise executives
- Site engineers and facility teams
- Project managers
- Sales and commercial stakeholders
- Facilitate meetings, presentations, and alignment across technical and business audiences
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Assist with light administrative tasks related to accounts and partnerships
- Track follow-ups, action items, and next steps
- Help maintain internal documentation and CRM updates as needed
Required Qualifications
- Native Japanese or fluent in Japanese (business and technical level)
- 2+ years of experience in Sales, Account Executive, or Enterprise Account Management
- Proven experience working with enterprise clients
- Comfortable managing long sales and project close cycles
- Technically confident and able to discuss technical concepts at a high level
- Strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Able to travel occasionally to client sites
- Professional presence and confidence when interacting with senior executives
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience using tools such as Notion, Slack, Salesforce
- Familiarity with AI tools to improve productivity and efficiency
- Comfortable presenting to senior and high-stakes stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills; enjoys relationship-building and trust-based selling
