Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to be a part of bioanalytical and application team at Windfall Bio. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, working knowledge of biological assays, and good communication to interdisciplinary teams.

Job Description

  • Run routine analytical analysis including but not limited to HPLC, ICP-OES, GC-FID/MS.
  • Take an active role in processing and analyzing data to ensure deliver of data in a timely manner to other teams.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical and other standard laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain timely documentation of laboratory work; provide written documentation and specifications of workflows (SOP’s).
  • Work with scientists to develop, validate, and execute analytical methods and other application methods.
  • Effectively work and communicate with other team members from diverse technical backgrounds (microbiologists, fermentation scientists, and engineers).
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Experience with analytical instruments (HPLC, ICP-OES, LC/GC-MS) is a plus but not required.
  • Outstanding team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Capable of high performance in independent work as well as in team setting.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, multi-task, and complete work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite.

Education & Experience

  • BS in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
    • 0-2+ year’s experience working with analytical instruments and general lab equipment in an industrial research setting (Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or Life Science Industries).

The base salary range for this full-time position is $70-$88k plus equity and benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and location.
