Work on Climate (WoCl) is a non-profit mobilizing humanity’s talent to build a regenerative, climate‑positive economy. Role Summary: help maintain a vibrant, supportive, and relational community in our Slack workspace; uphold guidelines; foster positive connections. Time commitment: ~5 hours/week for 6 months; weekly meeting Fridays at 9am PT/12pm ET/6pm CET; availability compatible with PST (GMT‑8). What you’ll do: attend to member violation/help forms; review active channels daily for guideline adherence; serve as a community connector; observe and analyze community behavior and trends. What you bring: strong communication and conflict resolution, critical thinking, empathetic style; interest in daily moderation and long‑term improvements; ability to identify automation opportunities a plus. Common challenges: being empathetic yet firm; consistency across moderators; balancing urgent moderation with long‑term strategies; finding the right level of structure.
