About the team: Marketing team creating thought leadership, research insights, event summaries, and SEO content. Meetings: Thursdays, 11am PT.Role summary: Help shape and implement communications that bring 35,000+ members along as WoCl shifts from job-transition support to cultivating leaders and action networks. Draft the communications plan, execute across Slack/website/newsletters/events, and gather/analyze feedback to refine messaging.Time commitment: ~5 hours/week for at least 6 months; weekly meeting attendance required.Benefits: Apply strategic communications, change management, and storytelling in a real nonprofit; hands-on experience with organizational change comms; build a strong climate network.Responsibilities: Develop comms roadmap; design messaging frameworks; translate strategy into stories and content; draft Slack updates, newsletters, and onboarding material revisions.Skills: Strategic thinking (planning, not just writing); excellent writing/editing; experience with change communications/marketing/storytelling preferred; ability to analyze feedback and adjust; bonus for org change, community organizing, or design thinking backgrounds.Common challenges: Translating complex strategy into simple, motivating language; balancing strategic planning with day-to-day content needs; keeping a consistent voice across channels.Apply: Use the application form linked in the posting.
