Overview
Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) Program Manager to join our Central Manufacturing team in California. This individual’s role will include developing and streamlining regular SIOP reviews to enable cross-functional alignment among various teams for purchasing, logistics, manufacturing, facilities, and quality. This role will also measure the effectiveness of our manufacturing operations by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics (KPIs). Joby’s future success in scaling manufacturing requires a willing and “whatever it takes” attitude to develop, implement, and refine SIOP. This position is required to be onsite in California, we aim to attract, retain, develop and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our team.
Responsibilities
- Develop a SIOP process that enables key functions like supply chain, finance, inventory, planning, production, and quality to work in lockstep with each other to produce Joby aircraft
- Streamline regular cadence reviews on demand and supply to enable a mature SIOP process
- Manage the full scope of SIOP from demand and supply plans to customer feedback and alignment with senior leadership and the financial budget
- Develop effective methods to capture demand and supply plans informed by plan vs actual data from production throughput
- Implement improvements to existing systems and methods of collecting and analyzing data in support of cross-functional metrics/KPIs
- Lead demand planning reviews with SIOP internal and external customers like operations, spares/replacements, and new product introduction (NPI) development
- Compile and report on cross-functional Metrics/KPIs to ensure effective execution, integration, and performance of the SIOP process.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to ensure all team members are proficient in using the new SIOP tools and processes.
- Supports standardized best practices for SIOP and process improvement changes for the various teams involved in SIOP
Required
- 10+ years’ experience working in project management within manufacturing operations
- 5+ years’ experience in leading supply chain, production planning, or SIOP process
- Minimum Bachelors Degree or higher
- Proven track record as Project Manager or Operations Manager within global manufacturing setting
- Proven track record overseeing different program phases, such as development to transition to production readiness
- Ability to effectively apply business, financial, and commercial knowledge to successfully represent Joby’s best interest with internal and external customers
- Highly skilled at tactical project planning, risk management, project execution, and communication with all levels of the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and strong team player
- Detail oriented independent worker
- General working knowledge of complex manufacturing
- Strong experience with project management tools
Desired
- Experience developing successful SIOP processes
- Expert level user of MS Project or Smartsheets including creation of macros
- General working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Experience in Manufacturing of powertrain & electronics assemblies
- Startup experience or similar

The target base pay for this position is $133,500 - $182,000 per year salary. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
