Overview
The People Operations & Executive Assistant will play a critical role in enabling the effectiveness of the People organization by providing dedicated support to the Chief People Officer (CPO) while also serving as a centralized operational and coordination partner across the People team. This role will report into the and will focus on consolidating scheduling, administrative, and coordination responsibilities that currently sit across multiple People functions.
This role will focus on executive support for the CPO and People Team Leadership team operations, recruiting coordination, internal communications, and cross-functional People initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive support to the Chief People Officer, including calendar management, meeting prioritization, and travel coordination.
- Partner with Recruiting to coordinate interviews and scheduling for roles involving CPO involvement
- Serve as a centralized operational partner for the People team, consolidating scheduling, administrative, and coordination work across functions.
- Support People programs and cycles, including performance reviews, engagement surveys, promotions and People systems administration.
- Coordinate logistics and scheduling for People-led training, onboarding, and learning programs.
- Act as a liaison to Finance/ FP&A on People-related purchase requests/ orders (PR/ PO’s) and approvals
- Coordinate and support People team meetings and events.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in operations, coordination, executive support, People Operations, or similar role
- Experience supporting senior leaders and managing complex scheduling and competing priorities
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement
- High attention to detail and strong follow-through in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Desired
- Experience in a People Operations, Recruiting Operations, HR coordination, or People programs role
- Familiarity with People systems and tools such as ATS platforms, HRIS, performance management systems, or learning platforms (e.g., Lattice, iCIMS, Gem, training systems)
- Experience supporting People programs or cycles (performance reviews, engagement surveys, promotions, onboarding, or training)
- Exposure to budgeting, headcount tracking, purchase orders, or partnership with Finance/FP&A
- Experience coordinating projects, vendors, or cross-functional initiatives
- Interest in developing a long-term career within the People function
- Experience in a scaling, technology-driven, or manufacturing environment
Additional Information
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $94,900 - $149,600/year. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
