Company Overview

Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality. We’ve designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.

  • Operations Tracking: Manage work orders, document preventative maintenance, and track inventory using Smartsheet and facility tracking systems
  • Team Leadership: Serve as a technical resource for electrical issues and mentor junior technicians on the team

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, or as a commercial/industrial electrician

  • Deep expertise in electrical troubleshooting and a strong working knowledge of commercial/industrial electrical systems

  • Proficiency with power tools, diagnostic instruments, and electrical test equipment

  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics

  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset

  • Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations and after-hours emergency support

Desired

  • Active California Journeyman Electrician Certification

  • Experience working within an active manufacturing or aerospace facility

  • Hands-on experience with generators, ATS equipment, and emergency power infrastructure

  • NFPA 70E and OSHA safety training

  • Basic HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical troubleshooting experience
