Overview of Role

The Product/Marketing Manager, Water and Wastewater, is key in enabling ZwitterCo’s aggressive growth aspirations. We seek an experienced business professional capable of bridging customer needs and broader market trends, translating them into solution requirements and high-impact growth strategies and initiatives. This role is responsible for maximizing the growth and profitability of specific industry segments. They will manage the full product lifecycle, from understanding customer needs and market analysis to developing and launching innovative products. This interdisciplinary role involves collaborating across departments (R&D, engineering, marketing, etc.) and creating and operationalizing go-to-market strategies that incorporate competitive analysis and boost brand awareness.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop a Market Implementation Plan (MIP) for each industry segment that supports the organization’s strategy and meets the organization’s assigned financial, growth, and intended market positioning goals
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategy and find opportunities to grow customer and business value through product differentiation
  • Responsible for managing the “4 P’s of the Market Mix” for assigned industry segment(s)
  • Lead new product introduction process from concept through commercialization, including the voice of customer research, definition of customer and product requirements, and value proposition
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop sales tools; write, review, and approve technical documents for branding and product positioning messages
  • Provide regular sales updates and forecasts for the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
  • Prioritize customers/orders for scheduling as needed
  • Serve as a resource for the global sales organization and work with sales to monitor market/customer needs, sales opportunities, and bookings
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of market/competitive intelligence and key customer requirements for business success
  • Develop and give oral and written presentations to customers, industry players, and the organization’s leaders as needed
  • Champion an ethical business culture that represents the company by its values and vision

  • Demonstrated confidence in written, interpersonal, and oral communication is essential
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience with a solid technical foundation, preferably in marketing, product management, or related functions
  • Strong Voice of Customer (VOC) experience, with the ability to develop and deploy product vision to new product development
  • Knowledge and experience with portfolio positioning, campaign planning, and content creation
  • Proactive, independent, assertive, self-starter who can work with a diverse and global team
  • Experience in building business strategy with solid financial awareness
  • Strong commercial & business acumen with a bias for execution
  • Ability to drive innovation/new product development and manage full product lifecycle
  • Ability to take projects from strategy to execution with high attention to detail and innovative thinking
  • Robust track record in achieving outstanding marketing or sales performance in revenue, growth, margins, and customer allegiance/satisfaction
  • Ability to effectively communicate go-to-market strategy, metrics, successes, failures, best practices, etc., to improve the overall product management & marketing efficiency

Qualifications

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business, science, or engineering, with a master’s/PhD or MBA preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of the industrial water treatment market and customers
  • Ability to understand membrane technology and articulate strong customer value/benefit propositions

Schedule, Travel, Compensation, and Location
This full-time position will report directly to the VP of Product Management & Strategy, Water & Wastewater. The ideal candidate would be at the headquarters in Woburn, MA, USA, but we are open to remote candidates from the US and Europe. Travel for this role is expected to be between 20% - 40%.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and include equity and benefits.
