Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced commercial attorney with expertise in marketing, advertising, and promotional, and consumer protection laws to support our team. This is a high-impact, business-partner role focused on transactional and advisory work.
You will serve as the primary legal partner to our global marketing, creative, brand management, and innovation teams, enabling bold, compliant, and industry-leading campaigns while protecting the company in a highly regulated category.
Essential Job Functions

Draft, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of marketing-related agreements including:
Agency (creative, media, PR, influencer, and experiential) and production agreements
Celebrity, influencer, athlete, and talent endorsement deals
Sponsorship, event, music, and sports marketing agreements
Joint promotions, co-marketing, and sweepstakes/contest partnerships
Digital media, programmatic, and data-licensing agreements
Content licensing deals
Provide real-time counsel on advertising claims substantiation across all media
Support product claims development from a legal perspective and advise on FDA, federal, state, and other applicable legal requirements
Review and clear creative assets and packaging proofs
Counsel on consumer promotion laws (sweepstakes, contests, rebates, coupons, and loyalty programs)
Monitor and advise on emerging regulatory trends (green claims, AI in advertising, synthetic media/deepfakes, influencer disclosure, etc.)
Qualifications & Skills
JD and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
7+ years of marketing/advertising legal experience (mix of law firm and in-house strongly preferred)
Significant experience in the food, beverage, CPG, or highly regulated health/wellness categories is required
Proven track record drafting and negotiating complex marketing agreements (agency master services agreements, talent deals, large sponsorships)
Comfort reviewing scientific substantiation for food and nutrition claims
Excellent business judgment and ability to deliver practical, risk-calibrated advice at pace
Collaborative, proactive, and able to influence senior marketing stakeholders
Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment
